1. State records which only registered AWA athletes may claim at any sanctioned competition (in the world) – but must be registered as an athlete with AWA.

2. All Comers’ records - any athlete who competes at any sanctioned AWA competition in WA is eligible.

With the change in registration process by AWA – visiting athletes must now be registered with AWA before competing in local competitions. Consequently, they would be able then to claim a State record albeit they might only be in WA for one week. Prior to the change in registration process they would only be eligible for an All Comers’ record.

To address this anomaly and to maintain the historic intent and integrity of the division between records, a 6 months permanent residential provision will now apply to all State records.
