The Australian Junior Championships got underway yesterday. WA had a great day coming away with 4 gold, 5 Silver and 4 Bronze medals.
Many WA athletes such as Raheen Williams, Brooke-Pires Parenzee, Jade Bogle, Erica Langenberg, Rebecca O'Kane and Ashleigh Germaine qualified for their next round, just to name a few.
The WA team is looking extremely strong this morning with Matthew Cowie starting this morning session (Friday, Day 2) with a silver in the U20 Mens Shot Put, showing Athletics Australia that he has earned his spot in the World Junior Team after his WJ qualifyer last week.

2010 Coaching Course
IN 2010 Athletics WA will be hosting both level 1 and 2 Coaching Courses. At this stage we are still finalizing the new level 1 course, so any one that wishes to particpate may fill out the letter of interest from. All forms must be sent back to the Athletics WA offices by May 15th.

Go for 2 & 5 National Athletic Championships- VOLUNTEERS
From the 16th to the 18th of April, Athletics Western Australia is hosting the Go For 2 & 5 2010 Australian National Championships. In order for this to be a smooth and enjoyable event for all, we are looking for over 200 volunteers to help over the three days.
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to be a part of this amazing event. As a Western Australian Athlete, you have the opportunity to help assist during this event as a volunteer over the 3 days.

2010 Vividwireless WA State Championships
The 2010 Vividwireless WA Track and Field Championships will be held from 26-28 March 2010 at the WA Athletics Stadium.
Entries are being taken online with a credit card up until Monday 22nd March (midnight). If you are unable to enter online, please contact the office for alternative arrangements.
