The Competition Advisory Group (CAG) has been established as part of Athletics WA’s (AWA) commitment to providing events and services in accordance with the expectations of our members.

The CAG consists of a range of representatives from different backgrounds to bring a unique and diverse perspective. The CAG will work together with AWA and provide recommendations for future programs, events and services across a number of areas including:
  • Athlete, club, coach and officials pathways;
  • Innovation within the sport;
  • Competition products (including timetables and scheduling of events – weekly meets, Club v Club, State relays etc); and
  • Programs to assist athletes, coaches, officials and club administrators.

In its initial stages (first two years) the CAG members will consist of: Louise Soia (Chair), Nick Little, Dylan Panizza, Kiara Reddingius, Byrony Glass, Dave Griffiths, Danny Kevan and Coral McCooey.

The first meeting was held on the 11th of July, with the second scheduled for the 25th of July. The CAG is currently working with AWA in setting the weekly competition dates and timetables.
