This July Ella Pardy will return to the Australian Para Athletics Team for her fourth consecutive year. Having debuted in 2014 at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, Ella has been one of Australia’s most durable para athletes, fighting through the highs and lows of the sport.

She is only seventeen-years-old, but Nina Kennedy (WA) is experiencing a whirlwind of attention after jumping the biggest ever leap by an under 20 aged athlete outdoors at Saturday’s Jandakot City Track Classic in Perth

 

In a leap that has captured the attention of a country and the world, Kennedy’s jump has been watched online over 75,000 times. Grinning still, the easy-going WAIS athlete admits she was as surprised as anyone when she cleared 4.59m.
