The last two weeks have seen Australia take on the world at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships and Commonwealth Youth Games. WA’s top para athletes took London by storm, while in the Bahamas Sean Szalek and Melany Smart faced off against the best junior athletes in the Commonwealth.

In an athletics career spanning just over five years, Chad Perris has made the most of his opportunities. Returning to the Australian team for his third World Para Athletics Championships, Perris heads to London with the experience, support and medal expectations athletes spend a lifetime striving for. 

Sarah Edmiston is not your average international debutant. Embarking on her first Australian para team, the mother of four heads to London as an accomplished National thrower, Australian record holder and potential medalist, all with in nine months of getting classified as a para athlete.

This July Ella Pardy will return to the Australian Para Athletics Team for her fourth consecutive year. Having debuted in 2014 at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, Ella has been one of Australia’s most durable para athletes, fighting through the highs and lows of the sport. 

Madison de Rozario is a champion. The defending T53 800m World Champion is a seven time Australian representative and a triumphant voice for Para Athletes across Australia. The charismatic 23 year old is no longer shying away from the challenges she faces on and off the track.
