In 2018, Australia’s elite athletes chased a $78,000 prize pool at the inaugural Bunbury Geographe Gift, with Curtin Athletics Club teammates Kiara Reddingius and Evan Jarvis taking out the $14,000 each in the 120m races.

Full results from the 2018 WesTrac Bunbury Geographe Gift can be found here.

Modelled on the famous Stawell Gift, athletes from all over the country converged on the South West WA hotspot, including Australian sprint stars Trae Williams, Riley Day and Jack Hale.  The brainchild of local businessman Colin Piancentini in response to the changing social and economic climate in the South West, the race is seen as a way to drive people back to Bunbury.

The 2019 edition will return to the Bunbury Recreation Ground and will feature a two-day programme of races enhanced by a series of activities to cater for every member of the family. Including lawn games, athletics clinics, yoga, 5km fun run, interactive activities, licensed trackside lounge, Wyalup Beach cafe, the expanding program will create a unique annual family event.

We are looking forward to welcoming athletes and supporters to our wonderful Bunbury Geographe region.
