The Level 2 Intermediate Club Coach Course is the next progression from Level 1 Community Athletics Coach course and further develops coaches understanding of how to coach fundamental skills and drills. This level supports coaches to understand the basic technical models for the Track & Field events held at club and school level competitions.
Areas covered: Sprints & Relays; Hurdles (excluding 400m hurdles); Middle & Long Distance up to 5000m (excluding Steeple); Jumps (excluding Pole Vault); Throws (excluding Hammer Throw); Race Walking.
Candidates must meet at least one of the following prerequisites:
1.Completed the Level 1 Beginning Coach and be accredited.
2. Acquired the Level 1 Beginning Coach through Recognition of Prior Learning or Recognition of Current Competence and be accredited. Coaches are required to have coached for a minimum of 30 hours after taking the Level 1 Course.
Course participants are also required to complete pre course work.
